Getting Started with CourseSignal

Getting Started with CourseSignal

CourseSignal lets you inject interactive modals into published eLearning courses without republishing. Display alerts, polls, feedback forms, and calls-to-action to learners — all controlled from a dashboard.

What CourseSignal Does

After a course is published and deployed to your LMS, you normally can't change it without going back to the authoring tool. CourseSignal solves this by injecting content on top of the live course using a lightweight script.

Core Features

  • Alerts — Display important notices, reminders, or updates. Use for deadline reminders, system outage notices, course corrections, and smart scheduling.
  • Polls — Ask learners multiple-choice questions to gauge comprehension. Includes knowledge checks, confidence polls, preference surveys, and real-time results.
  • Feedback — Collect learner sentiment with thumbs up/down, emoji scales, or open text. Get email reactions, NPS surveys, open feedback, and mid-course sentiment.
  • Forms — Multi-field data capture for evaluations, bug reports, and learner questions with custom fields.
  • Call-to-Action — Prompt learners to upgrade, enroll, share, or visit external links. Supports course enrollment, social sharing, resource downloads, and external links.
  • Templates — 3-5 prebuilt templates per modal type to get you started quickly.

How It Works

  1. Upload your course to CourseSignal
  2. Create modals — Choose the modal type and customize content
  3. Deploy — Set scheduling rules and activate
  4. Monitor engagement — Track views, responses, and dismissals

Pricing

CourseSignal uses Sparks-based pricing per modal view:

  • Simple Modals (Alerts, CTAs): 100 Sparks per modal view
  • Advanced Modals (Polls, Feedback, Custom Forms): 300 Sparks per modal view

Testing is always free.
