Managing Your Account and Subscriptions

This guide covers everything you need to know about managing your Happy Alien account, subscriptions, and billing.

Account Settings

Profile Information

  1. Log in to sparks.happyalien.ai
  2. Click your profile icon
  3. Select "Settings"

You can update:

  • Display name
  • Email address
  • Password
  • Profile picture

Changing Your Email

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Enter new email address
  3. Verify via confirmation email
  4. Old email receives notification

Changing Your Password

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click "Change Password"
  3. Enter current password
  4. Enter and confirm new password

Forgot Password?

  1. Go to login page
  2. Click "Forgot Password"
  3. Enter your email
  4. Check email for reset link
  5. Create new password

Subscriptions

Available Plans

Happy Alien offers monthly subscription plans for regular users:

  • Starter - 500 sparks/month, 250 max rollover
  • Pro - 1,500 sparks/month, 750 max rollover
  • Power - 5,000 sparks/month, 2,500 max rollover
  • Enterprise - Custom spark allocations, contact sales

Pricing and plan details are shown in the Subscriptions page.

How Rollover Works

  • Unused sparks carry over to the next month
  • Maximum rollover is 50% of monthly allocation
  • Rolled-over sparks are used first
  • Rollover resets if subscription is cancelled

Example: Pro plan gives 1,500 sparks/month with 750 max rollover. If you use 1,200 sparks, 300 roll over. Next month you'll have 1,800 sparks (300 + 1,500).

Starting a Subscription

  1. Go to Dashboard
  2. Click "Subscriptions" in sidebar
  3. Choose a plan
  4. Click "Subscribe"
  5. Complete Stripe checkout
  6. Sparks are added immediately

Managing Your Subscription

View your active subscription in the Subscriptions page:

  • Current plan and pricing
  • Next billing date
  • Rollover balance
  • Recent invoices

Upgrading or Downgrading

  1. Go to Subscriptions
  2. Click "Change Plan"
  3. Select new plan
  4. Confirm change

Upgrades: Applied immediately, prorated credit for unused time
Downgrades: Take effect at end of current period

Cancelling a Subscription

  1. Go to Subscriptions
  2. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  3. Confirm cancellation

Important:

  • Access continues until end of billing period
  • No refunds for partial months
  • You keep any unused sparks from purchases
  • Subscription sparks and rollover are removed at period end

Pausing a Subscription

Currently not supported. Cancel and resubscribe when ready. Your purchase sparks remain in your account.

One-Time Purchases

Available Spark Packs

  • Starter Pack - 100 sparks
  • Popular Pack - 500 sparks
  • Power Pack - 2,000 sparks
  • Enterprise Pack - Custom amounts

Buying Sparks

  1. Click "Buy Sparks" from Dashboard or navigation bar
  2. Select a pack
  3. Complete Stripe checkout
  4. Sparks added instantly

Purchase sparks:

  • Never expire
  • Stay in your account forever
  • Can be refunded if unused (contact support)

Billing & Invoices

Payment Methods

  • All payments processed via Stripe
  • Credit/debit cards accepted
  • Secure 3D authentication when required
  • Payment methods saved for convenience

Viewing Invoices

  1. Go to Subscriptions
  2. Scroll to "Billing History"
  3. Click any invoice to download PDF

Updating Payment Method

  1. Go to Subscriptions
  2. Click "Manage Payment Methods"
  3. Add, remove, or set default card

Failed Payments

If a subscription payment fails:

  1. You'll receive an email notification
  2. Subscription is paused (not cancelled)
  3. Update payment method
  4. Billing retries automatically

Organizations

Creating an Organization

  1. Go to Organization settings
  2. Click "Create Organization"
  3. Enter organization name
  4. Add team members via email

Organization Features

  • Shared spark pool
  • Team member management
  • Unified billing
  • Usage tracking per member
  • Role-based permissions

Inviting Team Members

  1. Go to Organization
  2. Click "Invite Member"
  3. Enter email addresses
  4. Set role (Admin or Member)

Switching Organizations

If you belong to multiple organizations:

  1. Click your profile
  2. Select "Switch Organization"
  3. Choose organization
  4. Dashboard shows organization data

Security

Session Management

  • Sessions last 30 days
  • Automatic logout after extended inactivity
  • "Logout All Devices" option in Settings

Two-Factor Authentication

Coming soon. You'll be notified when available.

Closing Your Account

To permanently delete your account:

  1. Email support@happyalien.ai
  2. Include "Account Deletion" in subject
  3. Confirm your email address
  4. Account deleted within 7 days

Note: Active subscriptions are cancelled, but no refunds for partial periods. Unused purchase sparks are forfeited.
